在近十幾、二十年中，年輕世代創作者無論是在跳躍的影像剪接、敘述邏輯，乃至於技術採用上，或許都令我們有感於今日的藝術表現，已經與我們熟悉的藝術相去甚遠。在2021年三月建立在NFT的衍生藝術乍然進入我們眼簾時，或許很多人的疑惑是「這為什麼是藝術？」更不用說依據人工智能（artificial intelligence，AI）產生的創作究竟是否是藝術的討論。彷彿新生的藝術物種，他們的面貌常常截然有別於過往我們熟悉的模樣或對藝術的定義。然而這些「藝術」與創作均非突然乍至，甚至已然開啟了一個需要且值得我們去認識的狀態。也因此，2021年的最後一個專題，我們決定以「視窗世代」作為一段時間的總結，以及對未來開展的展望。（企劃／朱貽安）
