《詩經》本稱「詩」，是中國最早的詩歌總集，被儒家列為經典之一。《詩經》編成於春秋時代，共三百零五篇，分為「風」、「雅」、「頌」三大類。詩歌形式以四言為主，運用賦、比、興的手法，描寫生動，用語樸素優美，聲韻自然和諧，富有藝術感染力。在中國詩歌史上，影響之大，莫過於《詩經》。
