About this ebook
這不是一本教大家平日經常讀錯甚麼字，而其正確讀音為何的書。相反，我希望透過本書告訴大家：很多我們日常使用，但被抨擊為「錯讀」、「誤讀」的字音，其實不一定錯。如果這是一本介紹「正讀」、批評「錯讀」的著作，應會頗得讀者青睞。看網上討論區，不時會見到有人「考考你讀對幾多字」，又或者有人發起「有幾多字是自小讀錯」的討論；由學者主持的「正音正讀」節目，亦頗受歡迎。但是，當學者批評的「錯讀」越多，我心中的疑問就越多。因為其中不少「錯讀」，或是長輩耳授，或是讀書所學，絕非隨意亂讀。五、六年前，香港一家傳媒的配音部門展開了一系列的粵音改讀，以大眾陌生的所謂「正音」，取代了沿用多年並廣為觀眾熟悉的讀音，令我疑惑更深，更促使我決心追尋「粵音正讀」問題真象。
希望本書能解答和我一樣對「正讀」問題有懷疑的人的一些疑問。
