　本書の目的はコンビュータの初心者に対して,コンビュータに関する概要及びェクセルを用いた統計学の計算方法を平易に述べることである。

　本書は2つの部から構成されている。

　第1部では,コンビュータを理解する上で必須である知識に関して解説する。コンヒ。ュータの歴史,コンピュータの分類, コンビュータの基本的な構成,情報の集まりであるファイル及びコンビュータが理解できるプログラミング言語について説明する。

　第2部では,パソコン(ソフト・エクセル)を用いた統計解析の基礎に関して解説する。度数分布,分布の中心とバラッキ,確率分布,相関と回帰,推定及び時系列予測っいて説明する。
