「きみ」の残してくれた甘く切ない思い出と救えなかった後悔、抱えるには重すぎる事実と向き合う「ぼく」。のどかな田舎の少女が闇から光を求めてきたはずの都会。そこは人のつながりさえもかき消してしまうような喧噪にあふれ、少女は心をすり減らしていった。
冒頭での蝉の童話と少女の姿が二重露光写真のように重なりあう、美しくも儚い恋愛小説。
