梁美玉，教育碩士，主修中國語文教育，從事語文教育及教材出版工作多年。受兒童文學作家何紫的啟蒙，自少酷愛寫作。與梁啟超雖然沒有親屬關係，但對他做學問講求趣味的主張深感認同，因此在不同的工作崗位和業餘興趣中追求「學問的趣味」。
