About the author
張恨水(1895年5月18日-1967年2月15日) ，原名心遠，恨水是筆名，取南唐李煜詞《相見歡》"自是人生長恨水長東"之意。張恨水是著名章回小說家，也是鴛鴦蝴蝶派代表作家。被尊稱為現代文學史上的"章回小說大家"和"通俗文學大師"第一人。作品情節曲折複雜，結構佈局嚴謹完整，將中國傳統的章回體小說與西洋小說的新技法融為一。他以作品多產出名，五十幾年的寫作生涯中，創作了一百多部通俗小說，其中絕大多數是中、長篇章回小說，總字數三千萬言，堪稱著作等身。
