本書將家族史與宗教史研究相結合，通過對二十世紀上半葉曾寶蓀的家族身分、宗教信仰與社會活動的討論，揭示辛亥革命以後部分曾國藩家族後裔從「孔孟弟子」到「耶穌門徒」的轉變，同時試圖破除「中國人」與「基督徒」這種傳統二元身分劃分模式以及由此所引發的國族認同，轉而將宗族、職業、宗教和性別作為參照系，以曾寶蓀的生命歷程為例，展现近代中國女性基督徒的身份，從傳統到現代、從愚昧無知到知識女性、從閨房家塾到公共場域的多重轉變。

About the author

男，漢族，1989年12月生，上海海洋大學海洋文化與法律學院管理學學士，華中師範大學歷史與文化學院歷史學碩士、博士，現為北京師範大學歷史學院中國史博士後、助理研究員，研究方向包括近代中外關係史（中梵關係史）、中國基督宗教史、近代在華外僑史和抗日戰爭史，研究成果見於《近代史研究》、《抗日戰爭研究》、《宗教學研究》、《安徽史學》等刊物
