About this ebook
本書是台灣原住民族研究學會的第一本書，創始理事長施正鋒教授所籌辦的研討會，於2012年11月7日以本書書名為主題，舉辦研討會，並由翰蘆圖書負責出版事宜，日後將陸續推出系列論文集。
1980年代，台灣原住民族展開了權利保障運動，以三大目標的具體訴求，呼應了認同權、土地權、自治權；1994年，台灣進行第二次修憲，在認同權方面已有具體成果，並正名為「原住民」，不過，在土地權與自治權方面，台灣的原住民族仍未獲得更具體的成果。
原住民族主權、國家主權，這兩者為本書論述重心，主要針對美國、澳洲、紐西蘭、日本、拉丁美洲原住民族主權運動發展的介紹與分析，並試圖理解各國原住民族對於主權的論述，同時進行原住民主權觀的建構。
