作者：
李遜之，字膚公，江陰（今江蘇）人，父為明天啟年間之御史李應升，因黨禍為魏忠賢所害。明亡後，李遜之自稱「江上遺民」，專心治史。所撰《三朝野紀》記述明泰昌、天啟、祟禎三朝事，自泰昌元年八月起，至祟禎十七年三月止，全七卷。由於其父為東林黨人，書中述璫禍事尤為詳備。
內容：
本書為李遜之《三朝野紀》卷四至卷七的節本，雖屬截取，但仍載原序。原序有云：「……但就邸報鈔傳與耳目睹記及諸家文集所載，摘其切要，據事直書；間或旁托稗官，雜綴小品。要於毋偏毋徇，勿偽勿訛。」書成於清康熙十年，距北都之亡已近三十年矣。李慈銘《越縵堂日記》云：「是書見聞質實，議論亦平允。」惜傳本多所舛誤，閱讀頗為費力。（開放文學）
