這本書不是引用經文然後就默想應用的「即食麵」，也不是擺出解經答案的「罐頭」。這書強調的乃是先觀察，後默想禱告；觀察的部份乃是學習提問，提問的過程是避免把自己的意思或聽過的官方答案讀入經文，這就好比收集和預備食材的階段；最好經過一天沉澱，就像醃味，然後才進入默想，就是開火煮食，這樣一個烹調的過程，就是煮出自己靈餐的意思。
本書將以路加福音作骨幹，輔以馬可和馬太兩本對觀福音，與大家一起與耶穌同行，從衪降生到登山變像，從謙卑嬰孩到預表進入榮耀的一個小高潮，這將會是《轉動我的光穌餅》路加系列的第一冊。盼望藉著觀察的過程，上文下理的思索，禱告的引導，我們不單每天靈修親近主，更是每天操練讀經研經的基本功，這樣，我們就能「長大成人，能吃乾糧，心竅習練得通達，能分辨好歹了」(希伯來書5:14)
