About the author

樋口一葉（1872-1896）是日本歷史上位職業女作家，也是位印在紙幣正面的日本女作家，在日本具有極高的國民知名度。樋口一葉出生於日本東京都一個下層官吏家庭，自幼酷愛讀書，立志成為作家。她經歷了父親亡故、未婚夫毀婚等變故，飽嘗生活的艱辛。二十歲時開始發表作品，在“一葉的奇跡十四月”中寫出《青梅竹馬》《十三夜》《大年夜》等，轟動了日本文壇。因肺結核辭世，年僅二十四歲。被後世譽為“明治紫式部”。
