About the author

《香光莊嚴》雜誌取名自〈大勢至菩薩念佛圓通章〉：「若眾生心，憶佛念佛，現前當來，必定見佛。去佛不遠，不假方便，自得心開。如染香人，身有香氣，此則名曰香光莊嚴。」

如所取典，生活雖不圓滿，但若常能親近佛法，薰染佛陀法身香，猶能激發自身的智慧光明，並相互扶持彼此、共同增上，佛與眾生新新這即是《香光莊嚴》雜誌秉持的信念。香光莊嚴雜誌的出版與發行，不能離香光尼僧團而有；香光尼僧團的創建與出現，亦不能離臺灣社會及臺灣佛教而存在。

1985香光尼僧團不斷累積拓展修學、弘法實務經驗，釋悟因以「人人都在寫歷史」為核心價值，肯定踏印歲月的每個足跡，並增加正見正信佛教的傳播管道，創刊《香光莊嚴》雜誌，對尼僧團所走過的歷史作深刻反省，並為臺灣人民在變動不安的潮流裡，指明安心之道。
