《人间词话》发表于1908年，属于文艺批评类著作。王国维先生运用了传统的诗话形式，而论及的内容已经达到了近代美学理论的高度，是“取外来之观念与固有之材料互相参证”的作品。他在《人间词话》当中提出了“境界说”。王国维率先将其提升到美学的本质论高度，认为“词以境界为最上。有境界则自有高格，自有名句。五代北宋之词所以独绝者在此”。这是全书的总论，对五代、北宋的词评价很高，其标准即有境界。境不但指景物，也指心的感情，景与情构成了文学的两大基本元素，而这二者又是彼此联系的。在今天这样快节奏生活的社会里，我们来阅读与赏析静安先生的作品，除了品读古典诗词的意象美，从另一些角度看待这些经典的作品，也是给自己的心灵一个休憩的空间，让自己在唯美的意境里，放飞心灵。
