本書分成「陶淵明詩選評注」與「謝靈運詩選評注」兩部分，皆由「緒論」、「詩選評注」含：「原詩」、「注釋」、「詩評選輯」、「案」語組成，後有相關傳記。「緒論」簡介陶、謝生平家世、時代背景、思想、詩的風格、特色等等。「詩選評注」的「注釋」部分，註明詩句出處。「詩評選輯」則收錄前人就單篇詩作的看法、評論。「案」語則是本書作者對於該詩的分析與評論。末附參考書目，以為研究參考。 陶淵明詩受儒家影響，重視人本，安貧樂道，詩以農耕、田園、飲酒等為主題，是中國田園詩人之宗。謝靈運遊歷山水，開創山水詩派，成為山水詩之祖，二位詩人均為中國最重要、最具影響詩人之一，通過書中的內容介紹，對於陶、謝詩的研究，有很大的助益。【秀威資訊科技股份有限公司製作】
About the author
王建生 民國七十一年二月起為東海大學中文系教授。曾任中文系主任、研究所所長、東海文藝創作營主任。高等教育評鑑中心系所評鑑委員、規劃委員，考試院典試委員、書畫學會顧問、理事。亦曾主持教育部補助東海大學教學卓越計畫「文史哲中西文化講座」等多項計畫。著作曾獲文復會中正文化獎、國科會甲種研究。出版學術著作有《趙甌北研究》、《蔣心餘研究》等及文藝創作二十餘種，參書末「本書作者著作目錄表」。
