１９３４年富山県生まれ。専修大学商経学部卒業。永年の経済記者生活を経て著述家、経済・経営評論家。
景気・経済対策の分析から商訓研究、企業ドキュメント、人物論までの幅広い分野での執筆活動を続けている。また“生きた経済”をつかむ眼力の確かさには定評がある。
