天界一の暴れん坊・斉天大聖こと孫悟空と、好色で俗物の権化・うさぎ小僧はそろって天界から追放され、岩山に閉じ込められてしまう。五百年の歳月が過ぎようとした頃、天竺へ取経の旅をする高僧・三蔵法師の法力により孫悟空は解放され、かたや、うさぎ小僧も通りすがりの龍神の娘・英鈴によって岩の中から解放されたのだった。その後、魔物との戦いで三蔵が負傷し、その代理で孫悟空が天竺へと向かう。ところが天竺は天界でさえも内部をうかがい知ることのできぬ暗黒の邪気に包まれた世界と化していた。うさぎ小僧と英鈴、そして英鈴の目付役・鰤々を引き連れ天竺への旅を続ける孫悟空らの前に邪悪な魔人たちが続々と押し寄せてくるのだった……。
