About the author
周佳榮，香港中文大學榮譽文學士，廣島大學文科碩士，香港大學哲學博士。從事教學工作多年，致力推廣中國文化，曾任香港浸會大學歷史系系主任、當代中國研究所所長，現為近代史研究中心高級研究員、林思齊東西學術交流研究所研究計劃統籌及歷史系兼任教授。已刊著作多種，包括《中國歷代史學名著快讀》、《人物中國歷史》、《中國醫學史辭典》、《明清小說：歷史與文學之間》、《言論界之驕子：梁啟超與新民叢報》、《從翰林到教育家：蔡元培及其事業》、《開明書店與五四新文化》等。
