The story begins with the wedding between Anne and Gilbert's which was held in the Green Gables orchard.? Gilbert is to take over his uncle's medical practice, at Four Winds Point, an area near the village of Glen St. Mary. He also found them a small house where Anne called it their “dream house”. Anne met lots of new friends there like Captain Jim- a former sailor, Miss Cornelia Bryant- an unmarried woman in her 40s and Leslie Moore, who looked just like a teenage girl.
