本書原來叫做「發達指南」，是出版人改的名字，雖然是誇張了，朋友批評：「名字太cheap了。」但這個cheap名確實有效，真能幫助銷路。現在的我算是有點名氣了，我認為我值得有上一點點的驕傲，這驕傲體現在提升形象，因此把「發達指南」的名字丟棄了，改名為「賺錢工具全攻略」。
本書的寫作方向，本意是把所有的投資工具來一個總檢閱，分析其優點和缺點，俾使讀者趨吉避凶。換言之，它是一本同時具有分析性和實用性的參考書。但是當寫作時，文思難免出軌，敘述略有失控，結果是多出了一些不必要的深入分析，而這些理論性的分析，與實用性的內容未免有點兒格格不入，所以我刪掉、重寫了比較簡潔易明的版本。
這一次的修改，目的是把內容變得更精要，主題更明確。這好比一間上市公司的重整，把非核心業務賣掉，把核心業務增強，公司的形象更明確，便更能吸引投資者購買，提高了股票的價值和股東的利益。
