About the author
冰谷，原名林成興，祖籍廣西容縣，1940年杪出生於大馬霹靂州江沙，曾任橡膠，可可，油棕園經理，為大馬、亞華、世華作家協會會員。已出版詩集4部，散文集5部，作品收入國內外文選、大系20餘種，寫作散文、新詩、兒童文學，題材以自然風物為主，多篇散文選為中學教材。作者被陳大為、鍾怡雯選為大馬獨立後50年30位散文作者之一。由秀威資訊出版的著作有《南太平洋的明珠》與《水蓊樹上的蝴蝶》。
