《笑林廣記》是中國古代的笑話集，由清代的遊戲主人纂集而成，多以文言夾雜吳語白話文而作。其取材來自明清時代的笑話，根據周作人《苦茶庵笑話選》的考證，《笑林廣記》內容是從馮夢龍《笑府》丶李卓吾《笑倒》丶石天基《笑得好》等書中選輯出來的，可以說是集大成的中國古代笑話集。由於內容有大量的黃色笑話，清代同治年間曾被江蘇巡撫丁日昌列為禁書。
《笑林廣記》形式短小，文字簡練，言語風趣，反映了當時社會的人情世故，對於凡夫俗子常見的貪淫、鄙吝、虛偽、懼內等現象，多所嘲諷，妙趣橫生，讀來令人莞爾一笑。
