時隔4年終於出專輯的蔡依林，不僅粉絲期待許久，就連時尚圈都等著看看這位大天后又會變出什麼把戲掀起時尚風潮。專輯名稱「Ugly Beauty」，如此衝突的兩個單字「醜美」又可以如何激起火花？
主打歌「怪美的」一播出，立即就引起廣大迴響，MV中不僅一人分飾8角，演繹從出道至今的里程碑，更帶著輕鬆自嘲的口吻，講述過往被酸的往事（香腸嘴、花枝裝等等）。然而若要我說最喜歡哪個部分？我會說歌詞裡所寫到的這句「美的醜的自有他存在的必要，愛恨隨你各自喜好拒絕你的偽善擁抱，想要活得顯耀回應心中惡之必要。」
