船舶繫纜之受力與船舶間的運動是一個非常複雜的問題。在風、浪作用下，繫泊於碼頭邊之船舶眾多纜繩中，那一條受力最大，受力多大，為高度複雜的非線性問題。本計畫利用水工模型試驗的方式，量測模型船在眾多風、波作用情境之下，繫纜船舶之纜繩最大受力。然後利用因次分析的方法，將這些情境的風、波條件，以及船型尺寸諸元，予以無因次化，再將這些無因次參數，丟到類神經網路進行訓練，試圖找出風、波條件、船型尺寸諸元，與纜繩最大受力之間的關聯函數關係。
