中國文字以「利」字為左右雙體字之組合，以「禾」為先，?（刀）為後。「禾」字之含意、型、實廣而深，「禾」為稻產之型，有良稻當豐、美和獲售價高，且有種植的高智之本。若非有良智、美種的種植，當可為「刀」割而傷。俗語言：「獲財易、存銀難、善處使、天賜福」。「利」氏之祖輩即深明姓氏之「利」字的含意之重、之深、之廣，實為人生之主途與處「世」之旨也。 ── 李秋雲 (中國文字學家)
