나 홀로 첫 파리 여행을 떠났습니다. 가이드 해설이나 인증샷 여행이 아닌 일주일 동안 파리지앵이 되어 세느강변을 거닐고 싶었습니다. 여행 둘째 날 파리 테러가 발생했습니다. 종군작가가 된 듯한 심정으로 파리 시내의 분위기를 살폈습니다. 모든 관광지는 임시 폐관되었고, 길 위에 구르는 파리의 낙엽은 멜랑꼴리에 젖어 쓸쓸히 뒹굴고 있었습니다. 서글픈 마음을 안고 발길 닿는 대로 세느강변을 거닐었습니다. 독서를 통해 기억된 예술인의 자취를 찾았습니다. 그들이 살았던 동네를 기웃거리며 상상 속의 만남을 가졌습니다. 파리는 박물관이나 미술관이 아닌 거리에서도 예술적 감흥을 느낄 수 있었습니다. 천천히 다가 선 파리는 은근히 아름다웠습니다. 해외여행이 자유로운 요즘은 글과 영상으로 쉽게 파리 이야기를 접하게 됩니다. 하지만 제가 경험한 파리는 또 다른 모습으로 그려집니다. 제 눈에 비친 파리 여행의 그리움에 젖어 봅니다.
