황조근정훈장, 한국교육자대상, 세종문화상, 현대아동문학상, 해강아동문학상, 한국아동문예작가상, 부산아동문학상 등 수상.
부산아동문학인현회 회장직.
현재 한국(부산)아동문학인협회 자문위원, 연제문화예술인협회 회장, 한국독서문화재단 이사로 활동 중.
