요조와 나눈 리터러시, 페미니즘, 예술, 죽음에 관한 대화들 우리의 대화가 불가능하지만 계속되어야 하는 이유 중림서재 모임의 모임은 각 분야의 전문가인 모임장과 소수의 참여자가 함께 특정 키워드에 관한 책을 읽으며 공부하고 대화한 기록을 정리한 모임 책이다. 《대화의 대화》는 뮤지션이자 작가인 요조가 모임장으로 참여한 모임 책이다. 이 책은 ‘대화’라는 키워드를 중심으로 요조와 개성 강한 다섯 명의 참여자가 각각 ‘리터러시, 페미니즘, 예술, 죽음’에 관한 책을 읽고 대화한 기록이다. 동시에 해당 키워드에 관한 요조와 구성원들의 서로 다른 생각의 교환을 통해, 서로를 완전히 이해하는 건 불가능하지만 그 불가능성을 공유하기에 서로를 이해하고 연대할 수 있다는 ‘대화의 본질’에 다가가는 시도이기도 하다. 모임장 요조는 모임 시작 전에 진행한 인터뷰에서 ‘대화란 불가능한 것’이라고 선언했다.* 그럼에도 불구하고 우리의 대화가 계속되어야 하는 이유에 관해 이 책 속에서 모임장 요조의 생각을 볼 수 있을 것이다.
