테즈카 오사무 1928년 11월 3일 오사카 토요나라 시 태생. 오사카대학 의학전문부 졸업. 의학박사 1946년 「마아짱의 일기장’ 으로 데뷔했으며, 1947년 「신보물섬’은 대히트를 기록했다. 이후 일본 스토리 만화의 확립에 힘쓴다. 또한 애니메이션 세계에서도 큰 업적을 남겼다. 대표작으로는 「우주소년 아톰」을 비롯해 「리본의 기사」 「불새」 「정글 대제(밀림의 왕자 레오)」 「블랙 잭」 「붓다」 「아돌프에게 고한다」 「MW(뮤)」 등이 있다.
