2019년 브릿G 작가 프로젝트에 단편소설 〈무한마계지하던전〉이 선정되어 작품 활동을 시작한 작가 조현아의 신작 위픽 《밥줄광대놀음》이 출간되었다. “난 년”(5쪽)으로 불리던 ‘민솔’이 모두의 염려를 뿌리치고 부모님의 고물상을 이어받기로 결정한다. 동네 친구인 ‘소라’, 대학교 동창인 ‘아름’, 친동생 ‘민율’이 고물상에 합류하면서 ‘솔솔 고물상’은 점차 자리를 잡아간다. 그러던 어느 날, 솔솔 고물상의 취급 품목이 성인용품이라는 사실 때문에 인터넷에선 한바탕 언쟁이 오가고, 급기야 이 재미난 싸움을 놓칠 리 없는 스트리밍 방송 채널에서 민솔을 비롯한 고물상 사람들을 초대하기에 이른다. 결연하게 참여한 생방송에서 민솔과 그의 친구들은 자신들의 밥줄인 고물상을 무사히 지켜낼 수 있을까.
