About this ebook
이 글은 농요(農謠)라고 할 수 있는 속요의 일종인 ‘이앙가(移秧歌)’이다. 농부들이 농사일이나 모내기 등을 하며 부르는 민요조 속요(俗謠)이다. 농민들이 농사일을 하는 데 있어 힘을 북돋운다든가 더욱 힘쓸 것을 강조하며 흥을 더욱 자극하는 노래로 공동으로 상부상조하며 농사일을 더욱 흥취가 나도록 한다. 시간마다 각각 특수성을 가지며, 아침참을 먹을 때나 점심때, 점심참을 먹을 때나 저녁때, 이와 같이 각각 다른 소리가 있다. 생활의 깊이가 묻어있는 농부들의 정서와 감흥을 생활 속에 담고 있는 것이 특징이다. 남부지방에서 주로 일반적이며 농촌 생활을 그대로 묘사하듯 그려 보이는 서정적이고 소박함을 느끼게 한다. 전체적으로 본문은 원문 그대로 훼손되지 않도록 하였다.
