VVIP 상류층을 대상으로 미술품 경매를 하는 회사 ‘아트리움’에서는 매년 12월 마지막 밤, 은밀한 경매가 열린다. 이름하여 ‘애인 경매’. 재벌3세부터 정재계 인사의 자제들 중 미혼남성을 대상으로 엔조이 애인을 경매하는 것. 오래 전 크리스마스 기념 이벤트로 열린 행사가 반응이 좋아 아트리움의 대표적인 행사가 되었다. 화가의 꿈을 접고 아트리움의 인턴이 된 미술학도 서희수(25,여)는 선배에게 애인경매에 대한 이야기를 듣고 경악을 금치 못한다. 행사 당일, 경매에 나오기로 한 여성 참가자가 무단 잠수를 타고, 행사를 망칠 수 없는 실장은 막무가내로 희수를 무대에 올리는데… 앞선 참가자들에 비해 월등히 떨어지는 외모로 모두가 무관심한 가운데, 한 남자가 경매 패들을 들어올린다. 희수는 얼떨결에 행사 최고가로 낙찰이 되고, 그렇게 자신을 낙찰한 남자와 만나게 된다. 하지만 그를 보자마자 기함하고 마는데… “다, 당신은!” “이번엔 쉽게 도망치지 못할 겁니다, 서희수 씨!”
