About the author
1954년 충북 제천에서 태어났다. 1983년 「중앙일보」 신춘문예에 소설 「바람이여 넋이여」가 당선되어 문단에 나왔다. 제14회 삼성문학상 소설 부문, 미스터리클럽 제2회 독자상, 제10회 한국추리문학 대상을 수상했다. 지은이는 추리소설과 역사서를 넘나드는 자유로운 글쓰기와 상상력으로 자신만의 독특한 대중 역사서를 창조해왔다. 지은 책으로 《나는 조선의 국모다》, 《천 년의 향기》, 《굴욕의 역사 100년》, 《조선을 뒤흔든 16가지 살인사건》, 《조선을 뒤흔든 16가지 연애사건》, 《정도전》, 《조선 명탐정 정약용》, 《그리워하다 죽으리》, 《대한민국12비사》, 《조선을 뒤흔든 21가지 재판사건》《조선여인의 향기》《인수대비》 등이 있다.
