About the author
1902년 전라북도 옥구에서 출생했다.1924년 문단에 데뷔한 뒤 수많은 작품을 남겼으며, 1930년대 채만식의 대표작이라 할 수 있는 작품들이 발표되었다.그의 작품으로는 「레디메이드 인생」, 「패배자의 무덤」, 「인형의 집을 나와서」, 「탁류」 등이 있다.
