정지용의 기행 수필!! 천북동(川北洞)뒤가 대목산(大睦山), 눈 위에 낙엽송(落葉松)이 더욱 소조(蕭條)(고요 쓸쓸함)하여 멀리?보아 연기에 짜힌 듯하다. 영하(零下)25도(度)되는 날, 버스 안에서 발이 몹시 어는 것을 여간 동동거리는 것으로서 견딜 것이 아니었다. 버스에서 나리는 즉시 통군정(統軍亭) 언덕빼기를~~ 평양에 나린 이후로는 내가 완전히 길(吉)을 따른다. 다르다기보담은 나를 일임(一任)해 버린다. 잘도 끌리어 돌아다닌다. 무슨 골목인지 무슨 동네인지 채 알어볼 여유도 없이 걷는다. 이 추위에 일부러 추운 의주(義州), 안동(安東)을 찾아 나선 것도 나선 것이려니와 애초부터 볼일이라고는 손톱만치도 없이 그저 보기 위해 놀기 위해 나선 것이고 보니 결국 이것도 일종 난봉이 아니었든가 한다.본문 중에서
