은사를 받아서 하나님의 음성을 듣게 되었는데 개인이나 사건에 대해서는 어느 정도 이상 말씀해 주시지 않으셨다. 그래서 생각한 것이 성경에 대해서 질문하는 것이었다. 신학에서는 다루지 않는 것들 또는 숨겨진 의미들을 하나하나 질문하며 은혜 받은 것들을 정리해 놓았다.
어떤 주제를 하나하나 정리해 간 것이 아니고 성경 말씀을 읽으며 그때그때 관련된 것들을 질문한 것이기에 주제의 흐름은 없다.

저자 주헤븐은 신학교를 졸업하고 은사사역을 하다가 임재기도의 세계를 알게 되고 하나님 음성을 듣고 하나님과의 교제를 성경을 통하여 정리하였다.
