사자 수인 바네사는 족장 선발을 앞둔 어느 날,
설탕처럼 뽀얗고 달콤할 것만 같은 정신 잃은 토끼 한 마리를 길에서 줍는다.
눈을 뜬 토끼는 다짜고짜 그녀를 끌어안으며 주인님이라고 부르고,
“주인님?”
“내가 왜 당신 주인이야?”
“주인님이니까.”
상처만 치료해 돌려보내겠다는 바네사의 결심도 결국 발그레 물든 토끼의 미소에 번번이 무너진다.
그렇게 어영부영 평화로울 줄만 알았던 그들에게도 작은 문제가 들이닥친다.
“이상해, 주인님. 주인님 냄새를 맡았더니, 이렇게 되어 버렸어.”
“발정기가 왔구나. 빨리 풀어야지, 그래야 열기가 가라앉아.”
“주인님, 다른 수컷과 이미 발정기를 보낸 거야?”
“그냥 발정기의 열기를 내보낼 뿐이야.”
그녀의 순진무구한 토끼에게 발정기가 찾아온 것.
홍조가 가득한 얼굴은 어느 때보다 사랑스럽고, 붉어진 눈가는 야릇했고, 타액으로 젖은 입술을 핥는 혀는 새빨갰다.
그보다 더 그녀를 곤혹스럽게 한 것은 토끼의 앙큼한 유혹이었는데.
“……그럼 주인님. 이젠 나랑만 해.”
