일본 가나가와현에서 태어났습니다. 『물 요정의 숲』으로 제4회 주니어 판타지 소설 대상을 수상했고, 『여우 영혼의 봉인』으로 아동 문학 판타지 대상 장려상을 수상했습니다. 주요 작품으로 『세계 일주 기상천외 미식』, 「이상한 과자 가게 전천당」 시리즈, 「귀신의 집」 시리즈 등이 있습니다.
와카야마에서 태어났으며 현재 일러스트레이터로 활동하고 있다. 그린 작품으로 《우리들》 《2A》 등이 있다.
