What are the most valuable things that everyone should know?

Acclaimed clinical psychologist Jordan B Peterson has influenced the modern understanding of personality, and now he has become one of the world's most popular public thinkers, with his lectures on topics from the Bible to romantic relationships to mythology drawing tens of millions of viewers. In an era of unprecedented change and polarizing politics, his frank and refreshing message about the value of individual responsibility and ancient wisdom has resonated around the world.

In this book, he provides twelve profound and practical principles for how to live a meaningful life, from setting your house in order before criticising others to comparing yourself to who you were yesterday, not someone else today. Happiness is a pointless goal, he shows us. Instead we must search for meaning, not for its own sake, but as a defence against the suffering that is intrinsic to our existence.

Drawing on vivid examples from the author's clinical practice and personal life, cutting-edge psychology and philosophy, and lessons from humanity's oldest myths and stories, 12 Rules for Life offers a deeply rewarding antidote to the chaos in our lives: eternal truths applied to our modern problems.

This book has taught me so much about Chaos and Order and most important respect for yourself, as well as the world. I really recommend this book to people. Please take your time in reading it, and understand it's principals, because it will definitely change your life. I am currently pursuing a life of order through my chaos. And i will not stop, until everything is in working order, I have also noticed that since I have started putting my life in order, my brain is also becoming more organized. I highly recommend this book. Thank you so much reader for reading this, and finally: Thank you SO MUCH Dr. Jordan B. Peterson for writing this book. Have a great day everyone and God Bless You!!!

Reviewing ONLY the book: Pro: Insightful, brilliant, dry-wit amusing, and profoundly effective. Deep and moving without becoming preachy. Con: Brief, polite angst at society's underachieving young males. Altogether, it is a well-thought out book that reads with sincerity. A genuine masterpiece of self-help. Thankfully, unlike a lot of numbered guidance books, the rules here are not inflated unnecessarily. Reviewing /w Author: JP is a real grandmaster of behavioral psychology and social philosophy with wonderful holistic insight that helps everything 'click'. I would firmly not recommend him at any religious debate topic. (This book thankfully does not feature any of the self-contradictory, overwrought wrangling with deities.)

If you're struggling in life and feel like it pointless, that your struggle is worthless and should give up, read this book. when I read this book, i felt encouraged to keep trying in life and not give up. It helped me change perspective on a couple of self destructive thinking styles I didn't even realize where self destructive. There are some valueable life lessons in here that everybody needs to be reminded of from time to time.
