When an alluring blonde with ties to the CIA disappears from a murder scene, Detective Lindsay Boxer turns to the Women's Murder Club to help her track down an elusive suspect: her husband.
As she settles into motherhood and a happy marriage, Lindsay Boxer thinks she has found domestic bliss. But when a beautiful, alluring blonde woman with links to the CIA disappears from the scene of a brutal murder at a downtown luxury hotel, Lindsay's life begins to unravel. Before she can track down the woman for questioning, a plane crash plunges San Francisco into chaos and Lindsay's husband Joe vanishes.
The deeper she digs, the more Lindsay suspects that Joe shares a secret past with the mystery blonde. Thrown into a tailspin and questioning everything she thought she knew, Lindsay turns to the Women's Murder Club for help as she tries to uncover the truth.

The series is one of my favorites but this one felt disjointed. The plot was sketchy and the all over place and the pieces just didn't come together in a way that made sense. The ending was awful. Just wasn't the typical quality I have come to expect in the WMC series.

The yenta club ..stupidist most annoying series out if his cop related books...he churns out books way too often and that's why the plots get stupider and more boring and tiring..its not like he needs the money..

This was a great book. The ending was a mystery but I'm glad it ended the way it did! I still don't know Y it was called "the affair"? There wasn't an affair, so to speak.
