저자 : 로렌스 C. 스미스 저자 로렌스 C. 스미스는 미국 캘리포니아 대학교 로스앤젤레스 캠퍼스UCLA에서 지리학, 지구과학, 우주과학을 가르치는 교수다. 미국 의회에 북반구의 기후 변화로 예상되는 결과를 보고했고, 유엔의 기후 변화에 관한 정부 간 협의체의 제4차 평가 보고서에 그의 연구가 널리 인용되었다. 현재 부인과 함께 로스앤젤레스에서 살고 있다. 역자 : 장호연 역자 장호연은 서울대학교 미학과와 음악학과 대학원을 졸업하고, 영국 뉴캐슬 대학교에서 대중음악을 공부했다. 현재 음악과 뇌과학, 문학 분야를 넘나드는 번역작가로 활동 중이다. 지은 책으로 『얼트 문화와 록 음악 2』(공저), 『오프 더 레코드, 인디 록 파일』(공저)이 있고, 옮긴 책으로는 『말년의 양식에 관하여』, 『뮤지코필리아』, 『뇌의 왈츠』, 『에릭 클랩튼』, 『유기농 선언』, 『펜과 칼』 등이 있다.
