I just can't get into this book. Don't get me wrong, I loved Layla Hagen's books, especially the connor series and the Bennett family.. BUT lately, her new books are becoming so familiar and repetitive that sometimes I get bored. I finished reading this one 3 days. With only 280+, I could have read this in one night. There was not much going on with the story, it went so smooth and steady that it just doesn't grip my interest. I don't feel quite connected with the characters and their chemistry. Despite how sweet and romantic their interactions are, it doesn't give me the butterfly-on-your-stomach reaction. I am very disappointed.

I’ll be honest and admit, when I first started reading this, I thought I wouldn’t like it. Well, I was so wrong! I absolutely loved the start to the Gallagher family series. Layla Hagen gives us a fantastic story with some wonderful characters. Isabelle is such a feisty character and she’s perfect for Brayden. When they first meet, their chemistry is off the charts. If you’re on the fence about reading this book, do yourself a favor and grab it. I’m looking forward to reading the future books so I can learn more about Dylan and Ian, Isabelle’s brothers. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

5 star review of Say You’re Mine (The Gallaghers #1) Layla Hagen I was so excited when I learnt that Layla Hagen had a new series releasing and I jumped at the opportunity to read and review Say You’re Mine. If this book is anything g to go by then Ms.Hagen is off to a great start. Ms.Hagen’s writing is strong, with characters that are easy to relate to and I found myself totally invested in the story that she wove from the first to the last chapter. Set in the rock world, this is Brayden Clarke and Isabelle Gallagher‘s story. Brayden is the lead single of one of the world's top rock bands and Isabelle is hired to help Brayden and the other members relate to their fans. Neither of them expected to be attracted to one another and this complicates matters, particularly as Brayden is concerned that his fame and lifestyle will scare Isabelle away. Despite not being impressed by his fame or money, Isabelle finds herself drawn to Brayden. I loved them both, but Isabelle in particular was a favourite as she is focused and determined to succeed at her job. I enjoyed the banter between them which had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions. This book was steamy, passionate, witty and ticked the boxes fro me. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
