Talk about romance with an edge of suspense! Dailey has the genre nailed. Romance abounds as readers are drawn deeper and deeper into the fascinating world that she’s created. Yet there’s so much more to the story. A strong plot and seamless narrative combine to present a tale with both substance and heart. The realistic characters in this novel are both well developed and approachable. I enjoyed getting to know them amidst the mystery and scandal that abounded in this novel. They stand apart as individuals, even as I was able to see them as a couple. This was a great novel to read on its own and even better as part of this series. I will warn readers that the first novel in the series contains some context points, but this story can also be read on its own. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
