Best friends Vi and Luca have been hiding their attraction to each afraid to ruin their friendship until they agree to a fake relationship to get her mother off her back with all the men she keeps trying to set her up with. Along the way pretend becomes real. But someone is threatening Vi so the quest is on to discover who before it’s too late. Vi kept brushing off the threats when for most of them it was much more than pranks. But I love this town and how everyone look out for each other.

There is nothing worse than two friends who's feeling change into more but the thought of losing an amazing friendship stops them from risking it. Fortunately Vi has a meddlesome Mom that gives Vi and Luka the chance to fake date. I got excited to see where things go for them, but then there is this danger lurking around Vi and you become stressed that Luka and Vi won't get their chance. Be ready for anxious times, fun and laughter, frustrations, danger and mystery along with a second chance.

Luca and Vi have been best friends since grade school, and both are afraid of going further if the other is not ready to want more. Luca writes computer programs and Vi is on the local police department, living on different floors of the same house. The characters are heartwarming in their tenderness for each other, never wanting the push the other too far too soon. The storyline has a few side plots like her stalker, her parents plan to get her hitched, and a fake relationship. Loved it.
