About this ebook

The Journal ''AWAZ'' was started in January 1936 to supply the public in advance programmes of the Delhi station in two principal scripts, viz., Devanagari and Persian. As the duplication of programme in two scripts was found to be wasteful,

The journal was split up in July 1938 and published as two editions Sarang (Now Akashvani (Hindi) and Awaz (Urdu.)

These two journals, also are published fortnightly,10 days in advance,of the period to which the programmes relate. The publication of Akashvani English, Hindi, Awaz (Urdu) And Vanoli has since been discontinued and office of the Akashvani Group of journals closed down with effect from 01.04.1987.
