Margaret McClure has published widely in the fields of social and cultural history. She is the author of a number of books including The Story of Birkenhead (joint winner of the J. M. Sherrard Award for Regional History, 1988) and The Wonder Country: Making New Zealand Tourism (AUP, 2004). She lives in Auckland.
