About the author

A social justice educator/activist, and psychologist, specializing in post-traumatic stress and relationship healing, River Smith is former co-chair of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism and founding coordinator for Men Against Violence, a feminist oriented anti-battering program.Former host of The Love Project (AM-radio), he produces and hosts The Love and Justice Report (cable-TV). A nationally published poet, eco-feminist commentator, and columnist, he is co-author with Victor L. Lewis and Hugh Vasquez, of the 2007 book, Lessons from The Color of Fear: A Teacher's Manual and author of the 2010 book, Like She is In Him: selected Work from A Troublemaking, Eco-feminist Punk. Dr. Smith is available for trainings or presentations on topics such as social justice, love, gender roles, assertiveness, empowering communication, and organizational development.
