This book, archaic in style as exemplified by the mode of use of the passive voice (namely the use of the simple past as a participle), does in fact address a rather archaic thing. It is only useful to historical French buffs and weirdos like me who want to learn Old French on top of their high-school Modern French class. As one of those weirdos, I respect the effort put into the book and if I weren't sporting a headache right now I'd be studying it like processed food companies on a proposed aspartame alternative.
