About this ebook

A witch who can’t trust her power.

A wolf who can’t trust his nose.

A serial killer who can vanish into the air.

What should have been a straightforward case is turning into anything but.

Someone is dumping bodies in the Florida Everglades after torturing the victims. There’s no posed positioning, or even an attempt to hide their handiwork, making a profile nearly impossible to develop. The locals know more than they do, and Eleri and Donovan can’t even link the victims.

When they start suspecting they are being followed, they reach out to other NightShade agents, only to discover the others have the same growing concerns they do. Why are some agents getting sent back to the Atlas Project while others are in the wind? Still, the case in front of them needs to be solved, even if there’s another wolf around.

How can they stop the murders when all the clues disappear into the vanishing point? This killer will drive them into the riskiest gamble of all.

Vanishing Point is the tenth book in the NightShade Forensic FBI Files series by USA Today bestselling author A.J. Scudiere. This book can be read as a standalone, but readers who love paranormal investigations and FBI thrillers will want to read the entire series!

AJ does a great job of reintroducing the characters, bringing us up-to-date on the action, and spinning a good new tale. Twists, turns, surprises, and a solid ending. I look forward to seeing how AJ turns the hints into new stories. Thanks, AJ

By AJ Scudiere Review by Felix Bearden Rating: Four Big Paws For those who love puzzles like crossword, Sudoku, and the like, Vanishing Point is much like Sudoku. Eleri and Donovan must collect clues, their relationship to each other (if there is one), and to whom those clues point. In Sudoku, players “pencil” in possible solutions for each square much like each clue in Vanishing Point is accompanied by its association with other clues. As in Sudoku, all of Night Shades puzzles have a solution. Also, there is usually one point where the clue and its association cause all the other clues and their associations make sense. A.J. gives Eleri and Donovan special abilities to “sniff” out these clues as well being able to analyze their findings. But what is special about Vanishing Point is the personal relationship between the two agents. The way they collate their findings and recognize each other’s special talents is a good example for any investigative organization. The nice thing about writing is that the writer is in control of whether a character is good or bad. The trick is to make the situations believable in today’s world. There may be a surprising twist, as usual, for this, another of A.J.’s hits.
