A whole new world for this author one with dragons and it’s an imaginative one. Here I’mya awakens disoriented in a strange place and with no memory of how she arrived in the forbidden mountains. Assuming she’s been kidnapped she soon discovers that’s not the case she’s here by her own design. I’mya is now a kon’ayas which is a sort of handmaiden and her new home is in a dragons lair she is subject to master Nyro of the Vattoro clan a dragorai alpha with his own bonded dragon Sanderyll. Magic abounds in this place and Nyro is one of a set of brothers who rule over territory in these mountain ranges. So the world-building here was fantastic and this was really original and unique. Our alpha Nyro finds himself compelled and fascinated by the unusual lesser-human sensing something different about her that he is drawn to. Nyro is all that’s alpha he’s a dominant arrogant individual that’s used to being obeyed he’s also far from gentle and is used to taking what he wants not explaining himself and he sees i’mya as his property and In his lair his word is law. Being an omega I’mya feels the draw right back and she’s more than willing to satisfy this alphas urges. But as her memory slowly returns things get complicated and she makes a choice that could lose her everything even her very life. This first book in the series set things up brilliantly, From the moment I started this, I was invested in the unfolding story and I’m incredibly excited to be getting future stories set in this unique world. Genre wise It’s fantasy romance with alphas omegas and dragons all my favourite things so I was in complete heaven. I was easy to follow and it’s dual POV and I found this a really easy read with plenty of heat and excellent chemistry. For reference, this Is not a dark read and Nyro is actually very sweet and possessive whilst still being all that is male arrogance so if you like your omegaverse on the lighter side this is definitely the one for you. This is a stand-alone with a HEA and future stories will all be about a different Dragorai brother so connected but still separate and set in the same world. This one gets a massive thumbs up from me I enjoyed it a lot and I totally recommend. I voluntary reviewed a copy of a Lair So Sinful.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review. First of all I loved the fact that this was not a cliffhanger lol. It's a complete story with beautiful worldbuilding and I found it fascinating to explore the alpha/omega dynamic amongst dragons. I love Zoey's characters especially the Alphas as usual. I love her descriptions of them physically in particular. it's hard for me to get into a novel when I don't find a hero imaginally attractive but the author never disappoints. I found the development of Nyro's character a little unfinished in the sense that I wished we could've learned a bit more of his feelings from his perspective as Zoey usually does in a sly way (without full on going into his perspective 100%). It was a little slow at first in that I didn't find Nyro that compelling in terms of his behavior and it wasn't entirely clear that he thought of I'mya as his mate until towards the middle-end of the book so I missed a bit of that obsessive build-up. I'mya herself I found a bit frustrating in that she seemed not to know what was going on much of the time. Granted there are extenuating circumstances as to why this is so but given her dynamic, you should kind of get the gist at a certain point. :) All in all, I absolutely loved it and Nyro and it really heated up in the last 3rd of the novel to the point that I was eagerly reading faster to see how things played out between them. Again, I love dragons so I found the combo of dragons and alpha/omega dynamics wonderful. I cannot wait for the next installment!

When I began this book I wary of Nyro. Some of the alphas in omegaverse books are difficult to like in the beginning. I remember loathing Drocco for the longest time. When we are first introduced to Nyro he had many of those entitled alpha thoughts and feelings. He was a breath of fresh air though. Nyro never had that whole ridiculous “I’m becoming too dependent/invested in this omega so I’ll push her away” moment and it was glorious. Nyro embraced his desire for Imyah and kept her close the entire book. Even when she betrayed him he innately understood she’d been manipulated and didn’t seek to retaliate. He was just desperate to fully claim his mate. I hope all the dragorai in this series are exactly like Nyro, he’s amazing. Imyah comes to consciousness being led into a place she has no memory of traveling too. She’s naked with several other women. She comes to learn she’s in a dragorai lair and she applied to be there as a kon’aya, to *please* the dragorai. He immediately becomes obsessed with her and only wants her. Eventually he realizes he wants to take her as mate. There’s more at play with her memory loss and eventually she remembers they and how she got there. Story 5/5, Heat 3/5, Darkness 1/5, Angst 2.5/5 Slower side of fast burn, they get together at 30%. Typical omegaverse matings with knotting and the like. Slight push away from her but, no OW/OM drama but he’s massively possessive and kills a masseuse for touching her even though it wasn’t sexual. No cheating, no cliffhanger and HEA. I’d consider this book safe. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
